Who We Are
Located in Marietta, Ohio, BD Oil Gathering was established in May of 1993.
The company is named after the founder and President, Floyd “Butch” Deer and operates as a crude oil purchasing and transportation company.
Floyd spent over 43 years in the crude oil business employed as a truck driver, crude oil purchaser, terminal manager, and eventually a partner in local companies.
In 1993, Floyd was presented with a God given opportunity to pursue and begin his own business as larger companies pulled out of the area. With three trucks, Floyd and his son-in-law began hauling crude oil in Ohio and West Virginia.
The company has grown over the years to include a fleet of 30+ trucks and several storage areas in Ohio and West Virginia. Floyd’s children and some grandchildren have joined the company, and it is now a family owned and operated business. The company now has 30+ employees; comprised of truck drivers, mechanics, and office personnel. The dedication and hard work of our employees have helped facilitate our success.
Through the years the oil industry has proven to be an ever evolving business. B D Oil Gathering continues to grow and change to meet the demand of the industry. As a service provider, it is our desire to foster and create strong relationships with our customers.
As a family operated business it is important for us to maintain a personal regard for our customers, and we appreciate the support of our producers through the years. We strive to continue providing excellent and dependable service.
